A $10,000 reward is out for information leading to an arrest .

The San Jose Police Officers’ Association has offered the money for information that can help investigators apprehend the suspect who fired at two officers on routine patrol near Avalani Avenue and Luby Drive around 7:30 p.m. Sunday 11/13/16, SJPOA director Sean Pritchard said during a news conference at the neighborhood this afternoon.

The officers were working on gang eradication efforts in the area and confronted a group of people who quickly fled. One member of the group took out a handgun and fired multiple rounds at the officers as he fled.

The officers weren’t struck by the bullets and didn’t return fire, police said.
