Sheriff’s Alert: Home Invasion in San Jose, CA

Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office Case #11-155-0088E

On Saturday, June 4, 2011 at approximately 8:40 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of a home invasion at a residence in the 400 block of Porter Lane in unincorporated San Jose.

The suspect, a male claiming to be checking soil samples for pest control purposes, forced his way into the residence and severely assaulted a 73-year old female victim.  The suspect stole several pieces of jewelry from the victim before leaving the residence in a white cargo van.  The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult approximately 5’5” tall.  The suspect was wearing dark clothing during the attack.  The elderly victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
