On the evening of October 29th distinguished guests from all over the bay area gathered together to bid farewell to retiring San Jose Police Chief Rob Davis after a 30 year career with the San Jose Police Department.  Not only did members of the San Jose City Council and Police department honor the chief, he also received honors from the California Police Chiefs Association, the Santa Clara County Police Chiefs Association, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the United States Secret Service, the NLPOA and Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers.

Bud LoMonaco, past president of Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers and current president, Rachel Palomino attended the distinguished event and presented Chief Davis with a plaque on behalf of the Board of Directors.  “It was an honor to present Chief Davis with a token of our gratitude along with so many other representatives from distinguished organizations that Chief Davis worked with.  We truly appreciate the support we have received from the Chief and his department and we look forward to the continued support from the new Chief of police.” said Rachel Palomino, Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers president.  The evening concluded with a heartfelt and emotional speech from the retiring chief, recounting the highlights of a successful career in service to the City of San Jose.
